Pornography is all over the place. It plagues so many lives and is incredibly addictive. Pornography is evil and works in secrecy. It thrives in shame. Satan takes advantage of the powerful gifts that God has given us (the power of procreation) and tricks us into believing false things about those gifts. One of those trickeries is pornography. We all know pornography isn’t of God, we need to move past our focus on the fact that it’s bad and focus on repentance and change. If you are addicted to pornography, DON’T give up on yourself. Do not feel like you are weak. Everyone on this earth is imperfect and it’s our great opportunity to repent and change. God works miracles.
Is Pornography Always an ADDICTION? (21 min)
In this episode, we talk with a therapist who helps people struggling with sexual intimacy, as well as other things. He reached out to us prior to the filming of this episode with some interesting thoughts about pornography and how to better navigate the topic. Daniel talks about the danger in labeling all pornography as 'addiction' as well as the danger in conditioning our minds to label us as sinners every time we fall in our goals to overcome certain things.

We LOVED having Nic on our show to tell his story of overcoming pornography. His story is so genuine and powerful. If you've ever struggled with pornography, know someone who has struggled with pornography, or simply want to better understand those who struggle, this is the episode for you! This is part 1 of a 2-part series: The first part is Nic's story and the second part is Nic answering YOUR questions (from our Instagram page) about pornography. In this part, Nic tells about struggling with pornography for more than 2 decades. He was first exposed to pornographic images when he was around 11 years old. Since his initial experience, Nic began consuming more and more pornographic material. He was very good at hiding his addiction and was even able to hide it from his wife for many years. However, he know what he was doing was wrong and he thought he could fix it on his own until one day, he just couldn't take it anymore. Nic and his wife were putting their kids in bed when Nic asked his wife if he could confide in her about something. And that's when things finally started changing.
