Sometime in 2024, I became aware that a good friend of mine was leaving the LDS church. This news really took a toll on me spiritually, and I felt quite helpless. Years before, I had been confronted with the fact the several of my family members had left or were in the process of leaving the church as well. Years even before that, I myself had had to rebuild my own testimony when I found that my knowledge of the gospel was not enough too withstand the counter arguments of the adversary. Together, these experiences have motivated me to compile a database of information and resources that can provide a person asking reasonable questions with reasonable answers that will fortify and rebuild their faith in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

I have found through trial and error, that only a heart and mind truly interested in believing in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, will ever really acquire both the spiritual and intellectual knowledge necessary to build a powerful testimony. Proof alone is never enough. Knowledge alone is never enough. Plenty of people throughout the history of the world have witnessed undeniable miracles proving the existence of God and the correct pathway back to him and still have fallen away.

A truly powerful testimony can only be formed by the careful joining of spiritual experiences with clear, logical, and accurate teachings all while being directed by latter-day prophets.

The seed of a testimony begins with a very simple desire to believe.

One cannot force another to believe. Mountains of proof will never be enough, no matter how powerful.

Amazingly, once someone does have a true desire to believe and feels the spirit of God while humbly learning basic gospel truths, the seemingly impenetrable shadows of doubt quickly flee before them. Undeniable truth will begin to shine into the hardest of hearts and into the most closed off of minds like a spotlight in the night.

It is at that breakthrough moment that the honest in heart start to consume truth with a massive appetite.

In the hope of aiding at least one person as they find their way back to the covenant path of salvation, provided through the priesthood keys of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I throw my hat in the ring to provide a resource to fight the ever present and very real mists of darkness. These metaphorical mists of darkness are filled with apostasy, half truths and twisted historical facts. Our day of post modernism, of relative truth, and Satan’s deceptive yet creative genius, was clearly described by Lehi and Nephi in the Book of Mormon.

This website is but one tool to fight back against the gathering darkness.
