Metals, Metal working, Metal Artifacts and Golden Plates in Mesoamerica (55 min)
Metals and Golden Plates in Mesoamerica, Daniel Johnsons’ 2010 BMAF lecture. Mr. Johnsons presents extensive evidence of all kinds of metal deposits, metal forges, metal tools and various weapons as described in the Book of Mormon all through out central America at proposed sites for the location of the events of the Book of Mormon. Critics of the Book of Mormon clinging to antiquated archaeological thoughts about the cultures of Central America, long thought that the natives of those areas didn’t use metals as claimed in the Book of Mormon. It turns out, that theory was completely wrong. The authenticity of the Book of Mormon gains more ground. How did Joseph Smith know so much more than the archaeologists of his day and for the next 100 years? He didn’t, he simply translated a historical book that reported on the actual history of a small portion of the native Americans.
Evidences of the Book of Mormon: Old World Geography (8 min)
Have you ever wondered where in the world Nephi and his family traveled before they set sail for the Americas? For many years, researchers have been carefully studying Nephi’s account in 1 Nephi and comparing it with the known geography of ancient Israel and the Arabian Peninsula. Amazingly, nearly every travel detail in his record can now be connected with some plausible site, route, or ancient custom or practice. Drawing upon this research, this video follows the likely route that Nephi and his family took as they journeyed from place to place through Israel, along the borders of the Red Sea, and across the Arabian Peninsula. As will be demonstrated, the intimate relationships between his account and the known geography in the Middle East provide excellent evidence of the Book of Mormon’s authenticity.
Archaeological Proof of Book of Mormon Names (32 min)
Many archaeological evidences of names from the Book of Mormon that have been discovered in the Old World that were unknown at the time of the publishing of the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon in Mesoamerica (23 min)
This is a short overview of the reasons that the author thinks the Book of Mormon happened in Mesoamerica. The author has tried to evaluate all of the major models for Book of Mormon geography, and have read thousands of pages. We follow the published guidelines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which says that the Church takes NO position on this subject, and that no one can claim prophetic or Church support. Therefore, the best evidence for this issue is the very text of the Book of Mormon. This is the basis for the author’s proposal. Mesoamerica is, by far, the best fit for the Book of Mormon at this time in his opinion. Enjoy!
